The market held up pretty well for most of the day, but that changed in the afternoon when stocks sold off sharply into the close, most likely in preparation for the employment report tomorrow morning.
As you can see from this chart of the S&P 500, the selling wasn’t too bad, volume was lighter that yesterday.
